Beauty Queen Celeste Cortesi Is Expecting Her First Baby!

Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi dropped the softest, most heart-melting life update on Instagram on April 19. The beauty queen shared a glowing baby bump photo alongside a peek at her sonogram, officially confirming her newest title: mom-to-be!

She shared the sweet surprise with a gentle message in the caption: "To love someone in the most selfless way 🩵"

Celeste is expecting her first baby with her partner, Jonathan Sterling, a British tech entrepreneur and philanthropist. While the two have kept their relationship low-key (no more formal hard-launching!), it looks like their story unfolded somewhere between 2024 and 2026—and now, it's entering a whole new chapter.

The two feel like a match made in heaven, who move with the same kind of purpose and have always been so supportive of each other. Case in point: Celeste recently became the ambassador of Tessera Jewelry, where she proudly embraced her love for timeless pieces—rings, watches, and necklaces. In an interview, she shared that it's something they enjoy together.

"Actually, in the past few years, we've been buying quite a lot to be honest," she said.

But more than that, the two shared the same commitment to giving back. Jonathan has funded scholarships in major universities like Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, and University of the Philippines to help students access education and opportunities—with Celeste always by his side.

Together, they've also extended support through their beauty brand Asul, donating to organizations like the non-profit organization Angat Buhay and Philippine Red Cross in 2023 after calamities affected Cebu and Davao.

For Celeste, giving back isn't new. Before the crowns and international stage, she was working as a cashier while modeling, helping her family get by. "I wanted to help my mom in paying rent and everything so I had to find a job. At the time, I was modeling. I also worked as a cashier in a shop," she said.

That same drive carried her through pageantry, eventually winning Miss Earth 2018 and later becoming Miss Universe Philippines 2022, where she represented the country on the global stage.

She was previously in a long-term relationship with Filipino-British footballer Mathew Custodio, which lasted four years before ending in 2023. In 2024, she was also linked to Spanish national Christian Balic. Celeste never hid her relationships, but she knew how to keep them private.

Now she's ready to take on a whole new role in her life with Jonathan and their little family. And as she enters motherhood, it's hard not to imagine that the same generosity and compassion that shaped her journey will become part of the life she builds for her child.
