Gabbi Garcia Just Opened Up About Her Marriage Plans With Khalil Ramos

Published on Oct 20, 2025
At some point in every relationship, the talk comes up—you know, the one about marriage. After all, people love to say you should "date to marry," right?
But for Gabbi Garcia, there's no need to put a deadline on forever. For her and longtime boyfriend Khalil Ramos, marriage will happen when it happens. No rush, no pressure. They just have love growing at its own pace.
"We talk about every single thing in life," she began, as Boy Abunda asked about marriage talks in a recent interview.
Typically, we ask couples: When are they ready to settle down, or what are they waiting for? That's essentially because some couples wait for financial stability to tie the knot, or perhaps wait for a career milestone.
Gabbi clearly noted that they're not waiting for anything specific at this point. But they're actually just waiting for the moment to come for them. "When we feel like it, it will happen. I don't think you can ever be prepared for marriage. It just happens."
Perhaps, Gabbi's just not the type to live by a set timeline. While some girls have their life goals mapped out (which is totally okay, btw), she's more about letting things flow and trusting the timing of her and Khalil's relationship. "When you both decide na okay na, game," she added.
Not setting a timeline for marriage yet doesn't mean that they're relationship isn't strong enough or that they don't see themselves tying the knot in the future.
Gabbi kept it simple. For her, there was no need to overcomplicate marriage talks or put unnecessary pressure on relationships. It's just all about taking things as they come and deciding together when the time feels right.
She expressed, "It doesn't mean na you love the person less because you still don't want to get married na. It doesn't mean it that way. It's just wala, you just don't feel it yet. When the time comes, it's gonna happen."
By the end of their interview, Gabbi even quipped, "Ninong ka, Tito Boy."
Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos' relationship
In a world full of celebrity breakups and complicated romances, Gabbi and Khalil remain strong with their almost 9-year relationship. It's been almost a decade, FR—and every year, it just seems to get better for the two of them.
Back in 2024, Gabbi had noted how communication plays a vital role in their longterm relationship. "It's not easy for everybody to communicate. But it is a must in life. You can't get away with 'hindi ko kasi kaya makipag-usap eh.' It’s a tough life and you really have to communicate," she said in a podcast interview.
Just like how marriage would come as an easy decision for them, Gabbi once shared how their relationship was also strengthened by their choice to love each other no matter what.
"You don’t love this person every day. Sometimes you hate this person. It's true. And I'm pretty sure it's the same thing with Khalil. I'm pretty sure he gets annoyed saakin most of the time. But wala, we choose to love each other. And we choose to sit down and fix things. Always," the actress emphasized.
And if there's another thing that helped build their relationship stronger, it's the fact that they knew each other not because they were first workmates or a "love team," but because they were friends first.
"We really started our relationships—we're not workmates, we're not in a love team. For a long time, we did not see each other at work. So, whenever we see each other, it's just us talaga, like outside of work. We built that relationship from the ground up, with the idea that we wanted to last," Khalil said in a vlog with Karen Davila.
Stay strong, Gabbi and Khalil! 💖
