On April 3, 2018, the news broke that Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are getting divorced. The world was, simply put, shocked and hurt by this revelation. Hearts all over the internet are now broken. But apparently, this had been a long time coming, a source tells People. Channing moved out of their family home months ago.

"Like any marriage, they've had their ups and downs over the years but they really started to grow apart within the last year," the source told the magazine.

The couple met on the 2006 set of the movie Step Up, and they got married in 2009. They have one daughter, Everly, who turns five in May 2018. In a joint statement to Peoplethey said there are no hard feelings between the two of them.

"We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple," they said. "There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision—just two best friends realizing it's time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible."

If you're thinking to yourself "How did no one know this was happening?!" you're not alone. Channing and Jenna have been spotted together multiple times in the last few months, during which they allegedly were living apart. Two weeks ago, for example, Channing posted this Instagram of the two of them.

Jenna was even wearing her wedding ring as recently as yesterday! But back in February 2018, Dewan gave an interview with Health where she opened up about the world's perception that she and Channing were the perfect couple.

"When people say you guys have such a perfect life, I want to scream and tell them no one's perfect," she told Health. "I think there are such things as great fits. It is a great fit as long as you are growing together, and I think up until this point we've really grown together. Even if one starts to grow, the other catches up and vice versa."
