At 16 years old, Charlie Fleming was the youngest celebrity to join Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition this year—and undeniably, she showed remarkable maturity and growth throughout the season. Still, when it comes to navigating public comments and opinions from the outside world, Charlie is learning to handle them on her own. But she's not one without a clear perspective.

In the face of alleged comparisons to another Pinoy Big Brother ex-housemate, Sofia Fyang Smith, Charlie knows exactly where she stands. That's something she showed everyone in an episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on July 16, 2025. ICYDK, Fyang has recently drawn mixed reactions online, with some viewers expressing skepticism about her content and public persona.

Charlie couldn't hide how jittery she was when asked about the issue. Charlie let out a quick scream of nervousness upon hearing Fyang's name then responded to the question by saying, "Actually po, nagugulat po talaga ako, natatakot po talaga ako because I really don't want to be compared to other artists, especially po in a derogatory way."

"Yung wisdom po and being mature, it really comes from experience. It comes from understanding po," Charlie added. "I haven't spoken up about it because it's definitely not something I want to put myself in."

Charlie also noted that she's not yet friends with Fyang, except for one time that they've met and she introduced herself to Fyang.

Charlie Fleming Inside 'Bahay ni Kuya'

Charlie was a wildcard housemate—meaning, she was once evicted and then was voted to come back inside the PBB house. Despite becoming a wildcard housemate, she emerged as the third-placer together with celebrity duo Esnyr Ranollo during the Big Night.

The breadwinner of her family, Charlie had her moments inside Bahay ni Kuya, when she bared her thoughts and emotions leading toward the end of the season. "Kuya, it's not really related po kasi sa rank eh," she once said in an emotional conversation with Kuya.

At that time, the teen celebrity disclosed that she'll be taking on the breadwinner role in their family seriously as she turns 18 next year. "Mas iniisip ko po yung family ko. Kuya, mag-18 [years old] na ako next year, at hindi na magpapadala 'yung tatay ko. So 'yung pagiging breadwinner ko, totodo pa 'yan po."

ICYDK, Charlie's father is British while her mom is a Filipina from Cagayan de Oro, where Charlie was born and raised. At 16, she became her family's breadwinner when she joined showbiz, strutted down runways, and starred in pictorials as a fashion model.

Charlie told in the reality show, "Kaya 'yung iniisip ko is 'yung career ko ngayon. Hindi sa lalaban dito sa loob pero sana may trabaho pa rin ako kahit hindi ako ganun kagaling. Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko."

Charlie Fleming & Esnyr React To Fyang Smith's 'PBB Best Batch' Comment

Now, here's something that might've stirred the public in the past weeks. Earlier, Fyang had claimed that their PBB batch Gen 11 is the "best batch" of housemates. While the Internet had thoughts about it, Charlie and Esnyr also responded to it when Boy Abunda asked.

For the two, they quickly noted that it's never a competition among PBB batches. "Feeling ko, Tito Boy, yung iba't ibang season, may iba't ibang taste po talaga. Sa'min po, we can say na unique din po yung season namin, at tinangkilik din po talaga ng mga tao."

Charlie also pointed out, "Yeah, our seasons are different. This is the first GMA and ABS collab, so it's different from what batch they have."
