Where Are They Now? 9 PBB Love Teams That Had Us All Hooked

Twenty years ago, ABS-CBN adapted the hit reality TV show from the Netherlands. It became the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) that we know now—a show that pools together budding celebrities (or even already-established celebs) for a chance to showcase their talent and personalities to the public. 

PBB has long been a launchpad for some of our most beloved stars across generations. And let's be real—every season seems to produce that one love team that captures the nation's heart and makes it big. This year, for 2025, the PBB: Celebrity Collab Edition is no different from the other seasons. The Celebrity Collab Edition's not yet over, but we've already been witnesses to love teams like AZRalph, WilCa, and DustBia. (Which team are you? LOL!)  

Since we're here and we're curious enough, let's look back on some of the notable love teams that we all loved from Pinoy Big Brother ;)

In case you didn't know, Gerald actually prepared a surprise date for Kim back when they were still inside the PBB house. It was a simple ice cream date by the swing, but it seemed like the world for the both of them. Such cuties!

As soon as they stepped out of the PBB house, the then-fresh love team worked on several teleseryes and films. Eventually, the two became a real-life couple, delighting their fans. Their real-life romance lasted, allegedly, for four years.

At present, Kim is thriving in her acting career, with her current love team partner, Paulo Avelino. She was also in a long-term relationship with Xian Lim after her breakup with Gerald. Now, at 35 years old, Kim is happily single and successful in her work.

Meanwhile, Gerald is focusing on his businesses. (FYI: He has a beach resort in Zambales!) The 36-year-old actor has also been in a relationship with Julia Barretto for five years now.

Melai and Jason met during the Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up season in 2009. Just like Kim and Gerald—who won first and third place—Melai was the Big Winner, with Jason placing third. But their love story was like no other. Melai and Jason were total opposites inside the PBB house—and honestly, they still are. Melai's loud, hilarious, and all-out OA, while Jason's the chill, low-key type. And yet, somehow, they just work. If "opposites attract" needed a poster couple, it'd be them.

Oh, in case you forgot, the two actually had a "child" inside the PBB house. The name? Baby Dengue. Decades later, Melai and Jason are really parents to two beautiful daughters, namely, Stela and Mela.

At the time, the two were only 16 years old, just having fun with each other. After their season concluded, the two proceeded to work on their respective careers. It was in 2015 when they were paired together in the teleserye, Nasaan Ka Nang Kailangan Kita. They were also together in one of Joshua's earlier works, The Good Son, in 2017.

Now that they have both established their names in the industry, Joshua and Loisa remain friends and co-celebrities working under one management, Star Magic. Moreover, the two are dating their respective partners, Joshua with Emilienne Vigier, and Loisa with Ronnie Alonte.

Bailey and Ylona, once called BaiLona, swooned everyone watching the PBB: 737 Edition in 2015. They've got the spark and the musical talent that just perfectly go together—this, despite their polar opposite personalities, as well.

ICYDK, Bailey and Ylona are both half-Filipinos. At present, Bailey is pursuing his solo music career. The same goes for Ylona. She's been performing and making music under American record label, 88rising.

MayWard's chemistry was off the charts. So much so that they worked together in big projects like La Luna Sangre in 2017, and even had films like Princess DayaReese in 2021.

Although their love team era was cut short, Maymay and Edward's impact overflows even into their solo careers. Maymay's now a thriving singer, producing hit songs like "Amakabogera." Edward, in the meantime, has been making a name as a host in the entertainment industry.

McCoy and Elisse, also known as McLisse, met during Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky Season 7 in 2016. In one of McCoy's confessions, he actually called Elisse his "dear princess." (See the video below!)

Inside BNK, Alexa met KD Estrada, an aspiring singer from Parañaque City. The two formed a bond like no other, which eventually transformed into their love team chemistry outside Bahay Ni Kuya. After being best buddies inside PBB, the couple is now in a romantic relationship that everyone's rooting for.

KaiRen is one of the budding love teams of the new generation. Amid their love team success, they're also making it big in their solo careers—Kai as the actress that she's aiming for, and Jarren as the new-gen MYX VJ.
