Chris Pratt has spoken publicly about his split from Anna Faris for the first time since the couple announced their separation after eight years of marriage last year.

The 38-year-old actorwho has a 5-year-old son Jack with Annaadmitted that although it hasn't been easy, they're both "probably doing better" since they parted ways.

His statement continued: "Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake, we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.

"Don't be afraid to feel your independence if things aren't right."
