Today, the morning after Catriona Gray admitted that she is now single, Clint Bondad shared a very mature Instagram post about their split. He published an old interview of him, held after Catriona was crowned Miss Universe. There, he says that Catriona “first of all, belongs to herself.”
He then captioned the video, “Man, and here I am working so hard on my ‘bad boy’ image… I stand by all I have ever said about you. You are still the most beautiful woman that I have ever met. I wish you the very best on your path, wherever it will carry you… Truly.”
He continued, “This is certainly not what we both wanted, but most certainly what we both need at this point in our lives.”
He ended it with a line from James Blunt’s hit “You’re Beautiful”: “But we shared a moment that will last ‘til the end.”
According to Catriona, she and Clint “outgrew each other” after six years of dating. Nonetheless, she respects him and is grateful for the time they spent together.
And as breakups go in the digital age, Clint has unfollowed Catriona on Instagram, leaving him following no one on the platform. As of this writing, Catriona still follows him though. So here’s to hoping she’s seen what looks like Clint’s last post about her.
