Daniel Padilla sat down with Boy Abunda for the host's first episode of the Purple Chair Interview.
Uploaded on Tito Boy's YouTube channel on August 14, Daniel honestly answered questions posed by the talk show host as he talked about his family life, future plans, and his relationship with Kathryn Bernardo, who's been his girlfriend for the past nine years.
In one of the questions posed to the 26-year-old actor, Tito Boy asked, "In a relationship, what's worse than betrayal?"
"Maiwanan ka," Daniel answered. "Maiwanan ka nung taong mahal mo pa at nagmamahalan kayo't maunahan ka niya. Kung ako, traydorin man ako or i-betray, it's okay, it's part of love. It's part of a relationship. Part ng buhay natin 'yon. Pero yung hindi mo na kayang ibalik nawala na, pinakamsakit."
Speaking of betrayal, Tito Boy hypothetically asked, "In a relationship, if one is betrayed, you're the type who would go for forgiveness, you can forgive?"
"Yes. I will not move on. Hindi ako makaka-move on sa sarili ko ha, not for us. Kung sakaling may ganon sa isang relasyon ko, 'pag ako ay trinaydor at may ginawang mali, kaya kong patawarin yung tao na 'yon kasi para sa akin din 'yon e. Pag hindi mo ginawa 'yon, wala. You'd be lost," Daniel said.
The actor also brought up the time that it happened to him before when Kathryn forgave him. While the actor did not delve into details, he admitted that he made a mistake. "Nagkamali ako before. I was a kid. I was stupid, 'di ba? And still, tinanggap niya ako at tinanggap niya ako ng buo," Daniel shared.
Boy said, "And you were forgiven and you learn from the forgiveness that you enjoyed from, that you were given that you received from Kathryn."
