About a week ago, Glee star Darren Criss tied the knot with long-time girlfriend of eight years, writer-producer Mia Swier.
The two looked stunning in matching white ensembles as they exchanged vows in New Orleans. Mia was wearing a strapless Vera Wang creation while Darren wore an off-white Giorgio Armani tuxedo.
Recently, designer Francis Libiran shared photos on Instagram from the wedding reception, wherein Darren was wearing his creation—a custom Barong Tagalog.
The newlyweds both wore different attire for the post-ceremony festivities, as they entertained guests with a duet:
But what really makes us tear up is Darren in a barong, dancing with his Filipina mom, Cerina:
In an interview with Preview.ph, Francis Libiran shared how Darren and his stylist were very hands on throughout the entire design and fitting process of the Barong Tagalog:
"During the fitting last February 5, he loved both Barongs but could not decide which one he was going to wear and told us that he will just choose on his wedding day."
Things are definitely looking up for the actor, who in 2018 won an Emmy award and this 2019 a Golden Globes award for best actor in his portrayal of Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.
Congratulations on your wedding and keep raising the Filipino flag, Darren!
