Three years after his concert with fellow American Idol finalist David Archuleta, David Cook rocked Manila once more at the David Cook Live in Manila 2012 concert last July 14 at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Even for casual “Cookie” fans, it’s easy to see why this hunk of an idol is so popular in the Philippines. With his rock-star, too-cool-to-care allure and that guitar-cradling crooner charm, David Cook continues to woo his way into the hearts of Filipinas well after his 2008 Idol win. And that’s exactly what he did that Saturday night.

David walked onstage clad in his signature alternative rock look: Five o'clock shadow, check. Leather pants + sexy black shirt + vest, check. Awesome guitar, check. Wicked smile, check.

Starting off with "Circadian" from his album This Loud Morning, David rocked the house with hit favorites like "Last Goodbye", "From Zero to Hero", "The Last Song I’ll Write for You", "Come Back to Me", "Goodbye to the Girl", "Fade into Me", and his rendition of Oasis’s "Champagne Supernova".

The concert’s highlight was David’s duet with our very own Pop Rock Princess, Yeng Constatino, for his hit version of "Always Be My Baby".

As David brought the house down with the closer "Rapid Eye Movement", we knew we'd be counting the days until his next visit. His effortless charm left us totally undone. David Cook, you will always be our (alt-rocking) baby.
