Kris Aquino said she decided to chop her gorgeous locks due to "heartache."
The TV host debuted a super short 'do during her primetime talk show Aquino & Abunda Tonight on Monday, April 21. When co-host Boy Abunda asked whether she was going through something, Kris replied, "Tapos na. [It's] time for a change," adding, "Ayoko na ng heartache, 'yun lang."
Kris publicly admitted that she is dating Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista during the April 7 episode, saying, "We are a work in progress and it's a joint project that both of us are happily undertaking with maturity, respect, and commitment." But recent reports state that Bautista is supposedly still with his long-time partner, Tates Gana.
Could her shorter 'do be a result of a breakup? Earlier, the 43-year-old actress posted a quote from fashion designer Coco Chanel via Instagram: "A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life."
Kris wrote: "I cut off more than a foot, so I'm super ready for my life change!"
We couldn't agree more.
While Kris isn't the first woman to get her locks chopped post-breakup (We see you, chicas!), more celebrities are definitely sporting a shorter hairdo these days.
