What is Dolly De Leon's role in 'Avatar: The Last Airbender'?
If you've watched the original Avatar: The Last Airbender animated version, you'll know that there were a lot of characters. Interestingly, Dolly is not just playing one character, but two! The esteemed actress is set to play twins Lo and Li.
In a statement posted by The Creazion Studios, Dolly expressed her excitement over portraying twins in a classic title like Avatar. Not to mention that this is also the first time (!) that she's playing twins for her role.
Now, here at Cosmo, we're proud, self-proclaimed Avatar: The Last Airbender nerds—we literally grew up with this show. At some point, we all imagined ourselves as waterbenders or airbenders, just so Aang wouldn't feel so alone. LOL.
Lo and Li are "nonbenders," meaning they do not necessarily have powers, even though they live in the Fire Nation territory. In the animated version, Lo and Li are advisers to Princess Azula—one of the show's antagonists. The twins train the Fire Nation princess to become the leader she aspires to be. They were portrayed as focused yet fun in the series.
We can't wait to see how Dolly will bring the roles to life!
