Donnalyn Bartolome recently unveiled her sweet new wheels on Instagram—a Maserati, which she said is her "dream" car.
Donnalyn wrote, "About a year ago, I wanted to buy a @maserati but it wasn't the right time… It finally happened. An early birthday gift to myself. Last na muna 'to!"
The vlogger, who has 7.4 million followers on YouTube, said that she emailed Maserati on vlogging her purchase several months ago. On the day of her visit, Donnalyn was greeted with a royal blue bouquet of roses. She wrote, "I felt so special, I had no choice but to buy! I love it [because] blue roses symbolize achieving the impossible."
On Facebook, a certain netizen named "Mark" left comments criticizing Donnalyn for her luxury purchase. The now-deleted comment was screencapped by the singer and actress where he called her "mayabang" and pointed out that she was not able to help a certain "lola."
Donnalyn wrote on Facebook, "Anyone who writes anything libelous about me or any members of my family will regret it."
She continued, "Minsan ko lang unahin ang sarili ko. Gusto ko i-post kasi may ituturo 'tong magandang asal sa followers ko. I reply to a lot of positive comments more than bad ones, don't worry."
Defending her purchase, Donnalyn wrote: "I posted [the] new car that I wanted to have for eight years and also to promote my new vlog kasi nagtratrabaho akong tao… Then this guy starts spreading fake news."
Regarding the incident with the grandmother, Donnalyn had this to say: "Wala pa akong pinabayaan na mahal ko sa buong buhay ko. Gusto ko sana kasuhan para alam natin that as viewers, we also have to be responsible. We have to know if it's fake news or not, so 'pag fake news, don't spread it. Be a responsible viewer."
