Edward Barber has had a life-changing past few years, thanks to his church.
In an interview with Star Magic, the former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate opened up about how he's found new meaning in his life outside of showbiz. Currently, he helps provide youth services to almost a hundred kids every Saturday.
"Ngayon, nahanap ko yung, para sa 'kin, yung balance sa buhay ko sa labas ng industry at yung ginagawa ko sa loob ng industry," he told the reporter.
"One of the things I’ve expressed in the past that I really want to do is I want to be in ministry—which is not a priest—a pastor maybe one day," Edward added. "But I just really want to be, mahanap ko yung I get to volunteer, I get to be part of the team in my church, and I work with the youth there."
"Being able to help someone, especially the youth, it’s something that I wouldn’t give up for anything so that’s something I love," he emphasized. "I always hope to be there."
Edward also clarified that this doesn't mean that he's leaving showbiz. He says it's something that he still loves doing and will be doing for a time. In fact, he'll be part of the Star Magic Beyond The Stars US Tour in August, which has stops in LA, New York, and San Francisco. Some of the stars joining him in the tour include Kim Chiu, Maymay Entrata, Janine Berdin, Alexa Ilacad, KD Estrada, Donny Pangilinan, and Belle Mariano, among others.
