Game of Thrones fans, behold: author George R. R. Martin has confirmed there WILL be a film version made of the super successful television series.
Except he's going to have nothing to do with it. Right then.
But before you find yourself in a state of panic that all HELL will break loose once those Hollywood producers get their hands on an undefended Westeros, don't worry. Martin has given the whole thing his blessing.
The reason he won't be getting involved is because he's just too busy, and it's all our fault.
"I have two more books to finish and I still have so much to do. The pressure is on. I am such a slow writer and the fans get upset that I don't write faster," he told Daily Star.
But you can't rush perfection, can you. And anyway, we're just excited that in the (probably not very near) future we can look forward to sitting down to watch GOT for a non-stop, two-hour session! The dream.
Let's drink to that.
We've got no clue about what the movie will be about, because Martin didn't divulge much info, but the bottom line is: It's HAPPENING!
In the meantime, we can look forward to the return of the Starks, the Lannisters, and all their other pals for the sixth season in April. Only seven months to wait, then...
