Last Friday, November 25, a 68-year-old woman named Luzminda Taboylog (alias "Nanay") and her 23-year-old grandson Sevillano Pahunang Jr. were arrested in a buy-bust operation at their home in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
Police Chief Inspector Albart Tare revealed to ABS-CBN News that Taboylog has been on their drugs watch list for quite some time, since she is known for selling marijuana. They recovered two pouches containing around 800 grams of dried marijuana at Taboylog's residence.
The report notes: "Taboylog explained that she was forced to sell marijuana to feed 12 of her grandchildren since the children's parents are in prison for charges related to illegal drugs."
Taboylog and her grandson will face charges for violating the provisions of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
