It's been a "yes year" for Jericho Rosales—actually, since 2024. It's something he's wholeheartedly declared to the public. By "yes year," he means saying yes to every opportunity that knocks on his door. Luckily, one of those opportunities happens to be a movie with Anne Curtis.

Jericho and Anne aren't strangers to working together, which makes this comeback project even more exciting. And let's be real—they're both top-tier stars on their own, so this is already shaping up to be a must-watch.

What is Jericho Rosales and Anne Curtis' new project?

Echo and Anne are reportedly set to top-bill a film called The Loved One. According to PEP.ph, the film will be produced by Viva Films and directed by Irene Villamor.

Filming and preparations for their movie seem to be already underway. A few days ago, Echo posted a photo of what looked like a script on his Instagram Story, captioning it, "Day 1 of a new one," hinting at another project in the works. Zooming in, we could see the title, The Loved One, and Direk Irene's name—though partially covered—also printed on the script.

We (including the Internet) caught wind of the new film when Anne posted a photo of her together with Echo and Direk Irene back in April 2024. She captioned it, "When like minds collide." It wasn't exactly a confirmation or a teaser for a movie, but fans were very much delighted to see Anne and Echo together in one frame.

Direk Irene is basically a queen of romance films—think Five Breakups and a Romance, Meet Me in St. Gallen, On Vodka, Beers, and Regrets, and Sid and Aya: Not a Love Story, which, fun fact, starred Anne. That was actually the first time they worked together.

As for Echo and Anne, they go way back—like 2008 MMFF back! Their film Baler not only won Best Picture, but Echo snagged a Best Actor nomination, and Anne took home Best Actress. Talk about a powerhouse pairing.

It's been a busy year for both Echo and Anne—but we're not complaining if that means seeing them together again on the big screen. Echo stars as the titular character, Manuel Quezon, in the historical film Quezon, which is set to premiere in October. Meanwhile, Anne is busy with the Philippine adaptation of the K-drama, It's Okay To Not Be Okay, which is already airing as we speak. She's also gearing up for a new film with director Erik Matti.

We can't wait to see more of Echo and Anne's work! ❤️
