In a GMA News Online cover story, Juancho Trivino opens up about courting Unang Hirit co-host Joyce Pring. “Kailangan mo talagang pagdaanan ang traditional Filipino way. I think it’s nice din kasi na kailangan mong respetuhin ang pamilya niya. Kailangan mong respetuhin ang boundaries that it sets forth kapag you tell her that you’re already interested in her.”
The actor describes his ligaw style as “very simple and sincere.” He recalls the lessons his dad taught him from an early age about the proper way to treat women. “Kung papaano ka magtrato sa babae will carry on. And everything starts sa house naman talaga.”
At the moment, Juancho and Joyce are still in the process of getting to know each other. “Seeing what it is like going out, having dinner, watching a movie.” Juancho says, “Parang may understanding na kami eh. Well, ako, alam kong gusto ko na siya.”
Does Juancho have a chance? In a previous GMA News interview, Joyce says, tongue in cheek, “Tanungin natin si Juancho kung gaano niya gagalingan ang panliligaw niya, ‘di natin sure.”
