Korean matinee idol Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) and actress Kim Tae Hee tied the knot at the Gahoe-dong Cathedral in Seoul, South Korea on Thursday, January 19.
PEP.ph pointed out that Filipinos know Rain through syndicated Korean shows such as Full House (2004) and The Fujitive Fugitive: Plan B (2010). He also starred in the Hollywood action flick Ninja Assassin (2009). Meanwhile, Kim starred in Stairway To Heaven (2003), Love Story In Harvard (2004), Iris (2009), My Princess (2011), and The Gang Doctor (2015).
"Rain, 34, and Kim, 36, started dating in 2012, with news of their romance becoming public on January 1, 2013," recalls a report in The Straits Times.
Reports say that only Rain and Kim's parents, siblings, and close acquaintances were at the wedding. The ceremony was said to have lasted around an hour and a half.
PEP.ph noted: "Stars spotted at the low-key event were Rain's former producer J.Y. Park, former JYP artists, g.o.d's Park Joon Hyung and Yoon Kye Sang, actor Ahn Sung Ki, and Psy, who also composed Rain's latest single 'The Best Present.'"
Shortly before the wedding, Rain had posted a letter on his Instagram page which more or less confirmed that he was getting married. A translated part of his latter reportedly read: "I am ready to be a good husband and a man as the head of a household." He had also added: "She stood by me through thick and thin" and "She's the greatest gift of all."
Rain's agency has announced that official wedding photos will be released to the media soon.
