KATSEYE Drops Out Of Olivia Rodrigo's Festival To Prioritize Their Health

Surprisingly sad news for the EYEKONS: KATSEYE has announced through their Instagram Story, posted on August 28, 2026, that they won't be performing at the Daisy Chain Fields Festival, the female-led single-day music fest in California founded by Olivia Rodrigo.

The festival is set for August 29, with its net profit going directly to nonprofit organizations that support women. It's a cause KATSEYE supports, but their sudden dropout comes down to something that's equally important: Megan's health.

In their Story, they wrote, "We're so incredibly sorry to share that we are unable to perform at the Daisy Chain Fields Festival this Saturday. Megan sprained her ankle yesterday during tour rehearsal and after being evaluated by doctors, she has been advised to stay off it and allow it to properly heal so we can be ready for our upcoming tour." 

ICYDK, KATSEYE is set to kick off their 'WildWorld' Tour on September 1 in Dublin, Ireland, with stops across London, Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp, and Copenhagen before wrapping up in Mexico City on November 27.

Despite having to pull out, the group still expressed their support for Olivia and everyone involved in the festival. "We're sending all our love to Olivia and to all of the incredible artists, non-profit organizations and volunteers who have given their time to make this day so special," they wrote. The lineup also includes Chappell Roan, Doechii, and Mitski.

At the moment, KATSEYE is active as a four-member group with Daniela, Yoonchae, Lara, and Megan, following temporary health-related breaks for Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman.

Their group leader, our very own Sophia, announced earlier this month that she would be taking a temporary hiatus to focus on her mental health and wellness. Her mom, Carla Guevara-Laforteza, later shared that Sophia is resting and recovering, explaining that the pressure of being the leader of a global girl group had taken a toll on her.

Carla also shared that Sophia has been spending time at Disneyland, which she considers her daughter's "happy place." This came after Sophia was reportedly spotted at the amusement park with Leon Barreto, where a fan captured her riding Space Mountain on August 16.

Meanwhile, Manon has been on a temporary indefinite hiatus since February 2026. Her management announced the break as she stepped away from group activities, including their Coachella debut in April.

But even with the changes in their lineup, KATSEYE has been keeping busy with their latest music. The group released their third EP, WILD, featuring tracks like "Hootie Frutti," "Animal," "Bel Air," and "That Way." And just before the EP dropped, they also released a music video featuring a cameo from Demi Moore.

So while EYEKONS may not get to see KATSEYE at Daisy Chain Fields this weekend, we're definitely wishing Megan, Sophia, and Manon a smooth recovery! 💗
