OMG! This Manila Dance Studio Got A Surprise Appearance From KATSEYE's Sophia Laforteza

If you're an EYEKON (a.k.a. KATSEYE's fandom name), then you already know their Filipina member and leader, Sophia Laforteza, has been spotted everywhere lately—Filipino food chains, malls, and even Enchanted Kingdom! 

And apparently, the surprise appearances aren't slowing down anytime soon. This time, Sophia popped up in the middle of a dance class at 808 Studio in Manila while the group was dancing to "Gabriela."

In an Instagram Reel, 808 Studio, Manila's first boutique dance fitness studio, shared the unforgettable encounter. At first, it looked like a regular day in class with everyone dancing to "Gabriela."

Then, out of nowhere, a surprise video call came in, and it was none other than the leader of KATSEYE! The interaction was full of hype, energy, and lots of love.

"You're all doing so amazing! I love your execution of 'Gabriela.' I'm so happy that you guys are enjoying. I love you!" Sophia told the dancers.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan Philippines, 808 Studio said they're still not over Sophia's surprise. Honestly, so valid. 😆

"The class was completely packed, and no one had any idea what was about to happen. The moment Sophia appeared onscreen, screams ensued!" 808 Studio revealed.

"Our 808ers are huge KATSEYE fans; in fact, we even have a KATSEYE Camp coming up where 808ers will get to learn their choreographies and end with a professionally shot music video," they added.

Same, TBH—we would've screamed, too! According to 808 Studio, the whole thing was made possible thanks to one of their instructors, Edd Vicente.

"A few of our 808ers (that's what we call our community) are friends with Sophia, and during one of our 808 Covers classes—where we teach choreographies from music videos like Gabriela—she decided to pop in via video call with our instructor, Edd Vicente," they shared.

While Sophia hasn't dropped by the studio in person yet, 808 Studio said they're manifesting that she will in the future! 

"She's incredibly busy, but she's been so supportive and has even been watching 808er covers over the past year. Fingers crossed for another special moment with her in the future!" they added.

808 Studio is Manila’s first boutique dance fitness studio. They opened their first branch at The Podium Mall and recently expanded with a new location at Eight Forbestown in Bonifacio Global City.
