On February 21, 2026, Hybe x Geffen (HxG) released a statement detailing Manon's hiatus from KATSEYE's activities. The agency began its statement with, "Hello. After open and thoughtful conversations together, we are sharing that Manon will be taking a temporary hiatus from group activities to focus on her health and well-being."

HxG expressed their support for Manon's decision to take an indefinite step back from the idol life. "We fully support this decision. KATSEYE remains committed to showing up for one another and for the fans who mean everything to us. The group will continue scheduled activities during this time, and we look forward to being together again when the time is right."

Following HxG's statement, Manon also shared a message meant to reassure fans about her decision. However, instead of easing concerns, it left many feeling even more confused.

On WeVerse, Manon shared a short message, briefly explaining her situation at the moment. She thanked the fans and hoped to be with her fans once again in the future.

"Hi friends 🤍 I want you to hear this from me, I'm healthy, I'm okay, and I'm taking care of myself. Thank u for checking in! Sometimes things unfold in ways we don't fully control, but l'm trusting the bigger picture. Thank you for standing by me. I love you endlessly and can't wait to see you again."

The statement, especially the first parts of it, got the Internet confused and talking. Fans are saying, "HxG said she taking a break for her health and wellbeing and the first thing she clarifies is that she's healthy...so ???"

Her fans became skeptical of HxG's statement, which highlighted that Manon's hiatus is for her to focus on her health. But with Manon clarifying and assuring that she's okay and healthy, fans just had to ask.
