Keane Captivates In First Manila Concert

Fans fell in love with the four-man alternative rock group during their first-ever Philippine show at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Over twenty songs. One magical night.

English alternative rock band Keane gave the audience the thrill of a lifetime with their soulful melodies and greatest hits last October 2 at the SM Mall Of Asia Arena. Promoting their fourth studio album , Strangeland, the showstopping quartet--Tim Rice-Oxley on piano/synth, Jesse Quin on bass, Richard Hughes on drums, and Tom Chaplin on lead vocals--gave the concertgoers a show they'd never forget.

Fans rushed to the stage as Keane launched into their playlist of heartwrenching and soul-stirring songs. Tom's powerful vocals pierced through the stadium, especially in their unforgettable numbers, "Spiralling" from Perfect Symmetry (2008), "Stop For A Minute" from Night Train (2010), "Your Eyes Open" from Hopes and Fears (2004), and "Try Again" from Under The Iron Sea (2006).

The energy in the arena reached an all-time high when Keane performed their most tearjerking numbers, "Is It Any Wonder" from Under The Iron Sea; hits from Hopes and Fears such as "This Is The Last Time", "Somewhere Only We Know", "Everybody's Changing"; and their finale song, "Crystal Ball". The audience, swept with emotion, tearfully sang along to each song and roared with appreciation as the award-winning rock band ended their spectacular first gig in Manila.
