Kendall Jenner has always felt different from her sisters.
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar this month, the model and reality star opened up about growing up in front of cameras, and how she knew from a young age that she didn't relate to her older sisters' love for all the things girly.
"I was a huge tomboy," she said. "I had a phase where I wore boys' clothes. I was always hanging out with guys. I've always connected with guys more."
"I've always been the different one," she continued. "I mean, I'm a girl and I like being a girl, but I've just never been into it like they have. I think I get that from my dad. I'd say I'm more of a Jenner than a Kardashian."
Kendall's mom, Kris Jenner, confirmed that her second youngest daughter never showed an interest for the frilly things her other children seemed to adore. In particular, she recalled a pair of camo shorts that Kendall had been obsessed with as a kid, which she only took off when Kris insisted they needed to be washed.
"She wore those shorts every day," Mama Kris said. "She wasn't the little frilly girly-girl."
