For years, Korean stars and idols have been coming to the Philippines to perform for their Filipino fans. (Something we surely miss during this pandemic!) And during those concerts and fan meets, some celebs go the extra mile and surprise their Pinoy fans by singing OPM songs—kilig, right?!
Here, we rounded up some Korean idols and stars who have sang Pinoy songs during concerts, fan meets, (bless all these fans who uploaded them on YouTube!) and even TV apperances in Korea throughout the years:
Here's Girls Generation’s Jessica sang Nina’s song “Someday” while her sister, f(x)’s Krystal Jung, played the piano during the performance:
IU performed MYMP’s “Say You Love Me” on Yu Huiyeol's Sketchbook in 2014. During her Love, Poem tour in Manila in December 2019, she surprised fans with a performance of the same song, too!
In 2013, EXO sang their rendition of Yeng Constantino’s “Hawak Kamay”. Look at those bbs!
During his fanmeet in Manila in 2019, Park Bo Gum surprised his Pinoy fans by singing a bit of Daniel Padilla’s “Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat” and performing Gary V’s “I Will Be Here” while playing the piano:
ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, who actually spent years living in the Philippines, sang Ben & Ben’s “Kathang Isip” during his 2019 fan meet!
In 2015, BamBam of GOT7 sang a bit of Ronnie Liang’s “Ngiti” during their first fan meeting in the Philippines. Kilig!
Not to be forgotten, of course, is MOMOLAND performing “Salamat” by Yeng Constantino.
