Kris Aquino Opens Up About Bimby's Special Someone—And She's All In For It

Kris Aquino is, as always, keeping fans in the loop when it comes to her life and family—especially moments worth celebrating. The Queen of All Media shared a now-deleted photo of James "Bimby" Aquino Yap Jr. on Instagram, and it looks like we just got a subtle soft launch of her son's special someone.

In the photo, Bimby is seen with his arms resting around the shoulders of a mystery woman, whose identity Kris kept private behind a heart emoji—keeping things low-key. The post had the background song "One Less Lonely Girl" by Justin Bieber. 

Fans were quick to celebrate the moment, flooding the comments with support and excitement.

"Kita ko 'yan sa isang [Story], ang pretty ni girl, ang simple. 🩷 HBD, Bimb! ✨" one fan commented.

The soft launch also happened to coincide with Bimby's 19th birthday, making the moment even more special. In her birthday greeting, Kris confirmed that Bimby is indeed seeing the girl RN and she's fully supportive. In fact, she even shared that she's welcoming the possibility of having her as a future daughter-in-law.

Beyond that, Kris shared that it’s time for Bimby to fully enjoy his youth and experience life with someone who genuinely cares for and supports him.

"I've been asking Bimb the past couple of weeks if 'we' can send her flowers, balloons, candies/chocolates, food, 1/2 of a couple hoodie in white since it's summer, I asked Bimb if she had a new phone—he freaked and said: Mama, chill. You'll overwhelm her because she'll know it's not from me but from you. Please let it flow?'" the actress recalled.

"Bimb has sacrificed so much to take care of me, but he doesn't have to anymore. The best gift I can give him is to let him enjoy his youth, and let him choose his own career path. My deal with him is he just has to give his 100%," she expressed. 

In recent years, Kris has been open about her ongoing battle with autoimmune diseases, consistently sharing both the highs and lows of her journey. She remained a proud and grateful mother, often highlighting how Bimby has stepped up to care for her—even at a young age.

Through it all, one thing is clear: she's incredibly proud of the young man Bimby has become, and she's more than ready to see him step into this new chapter of his life.
