New Number, Who Dis? Kylie Verzosa Switches Contacts After Miss Grand International President Posted Her Old One Online

Nothing is more frustrating than receiving spammed texts from strangers. That's been Kylie Verzosa's reality in recent weeks after an unexpected breach of privacy. 

ICYMI, Kylie's private contact number was publicly visible in a social media post made by Miss Grand International (MGI) president Nawat Itsaragrisil. The leak happened amid his very public online dispute with former titleholder Rachel Gupta. 

Though Kylie had nothing to do with the drama, she became an unintended party when her number appeared in one of Nawat's uploads. He later issued a public apology to Kylie for the mishap.

Kylie didn't stay silent. Instead, she gave a calm but firm response. In an Instagram Story, the actress posted a blurred screen recording that showed just how overwhelming the flood of messages had become since the leak.

"After my number was posted online for hours, and my efforts to have it taken down privately, the messages haven't stopped. I value my privacy and my peace a lot, and this has honestly been invasive," Kylie wrote. 

"I had to let go of a number I've used for over a decade and my security [was] compromised. I know many of your messages are sweet, but I hope you understand this isn't fun for me. Be mindful of what you post, share, and choose to believe online," she added. 

Kylie has since confirmed that she had already replaced her SIM card, a move she clearly hoped would put an end to the uninvited messages and calls.

It was great to see Kylie keep her sense of humor, even in a frustrating situation. But as we all know, privacy and security aren't things to be taken lightly. Whether you're a public figure or not, having your personal information leaked online can be deeply distressing, and even dangerous.
