KZ Tandingan emerged fourth in the latest episode of Singer 2018, a Chinese talent show that gathers performers from all around the globe to compete in a singing competition. The 25-year-old performer slayed her performance, along with fellow Filipino guitarist Makoy Portado, with an acoustic version of the hit "Say Something" by A Great Big World. KZ was actually set to perform a different song, but was advised to go with "Say Something," as it is more well-known in the region.

KZ earned countless praises for her performance, but one person on Twitter had something else to say. Twitter user @PELIKULista tagged KZ and wrote, "@KZofficial pakinggan mo naman 'yung music as background sa Singer 2018, wala ka sa timing beh. Sayang."

KZ then clapped back with, "Inaayos nila ngayon. Kasi nagkaproblema sila sa post-editing ng video kaya nagka gan'un. Sorry beh ha nasayang tuloy. Tag kita 'pag naibalik na nila sa original. Thank you beh."

The link leads to a Facebook post of KZ's agency Cornerstone Entertainment, Inc. with a note that said, "We are proud to share with you KZ's version of 'Say Something' for Singer 2018 episode seven. KZ prepared a different song for this episode and the arrangement for that song came from the Philippines. Hunan Broadcasting System (HBS) decided last minute to change the song because they felt the song is not well known in China and asked KZ to perform 'Say Something' instead since this is one of the songs she performed during the audition that really left a mark on them. We had to fly Macoy (her guitarist) last minute for this and she only got to rehearse this song on the day of the recording but still delivered an awesome performance."

KZ also received a Tweet from the original performers of the song, A Great Big World. The New York-based musical duo said, "Wow. @KZOfficial. Wow."

KZ is set to continue on with her weekly performances on the Chinese talent show. We're proud of you, KZ!
