Lea Salonga made it clear that she won't be able to perform at the opening ceremony of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, which happens on November 30, Saturday.

The Broadway star, who recorded the song for the SEA Games, "We Win As One," clarified that she had been asked to be part of the opening ceremony, but she had to respectfully decline due to prior commitments.

"Wow. I turn my phone off for a few hours, ang dami nang nangyayari," Lea wrote in a Facebook post.

"Truth of the matter is this: I was asked to participate in the SEA Games opening ceremonies since I was already recording the theme song and filming its music video. However, I had to respectfully decline as I already had Sweeney Todd on my calendar. It was on my schedule for many months, if not a year."

Lea is starring in the revenge drama musical which will run from November 28 to December 8 in Singapore.

Lea also pointed out that people assumed she would be performing at the opening ceremony, despite her never announcing she would. She ended her statement by wishing all participating SEA Games athletes well.

"Also, it was not ever announced that I would be participating in the opening; but many folks ASSUMED I would be part of it, never mind that I never put anything out."

"To all the artists participating in the opening, HAVE THE BEST TIME! To the athletes, may the odds be ever in your favor. You have already done your countries proud."
