The Marikina Sports Center was packed last Saturday with over 25,000 people joining this year's Pride March. The attendance was over triple last year's 8,000 count!
Celebrities were seen joining the event and showing their support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Iza Calzado shared photos of her experience at the Pride March, writing "Growing up, I never thought they were much different from me—a human being worthy of love. We all deserve EQUAL rights and love. I am sure my parents were smiling down from heaven yesterday and would have been there with me if they were alive."
"We should take pride in being our authentic selves EVERY DAY. Went home from Marikina exhausted but extremely hopeful for the future," wrote photographer BJ Pascual on his post about the event.
Actress Janine Gutierrez was present as well, sporting a shirt that says "Love Has No Labels."
Also spotted were model Michelle Dee and Mich Dulce, whose band The Male Gaze performed at the event.
