Lovi Poe has finished shooting the upcoming international film The Chelsea Cowboy where she'll be portraying '70s It Girl and British Blues singer Dana Gillespie. The biopic tells the story of the rise and fall of gangster-turned-actor John Bindon, played by Alex Pettyfer.
On November 11, Lovi shared a photo with her co-star Poppy Delevigne and wrote,"What's poppin'? Well, I just wrapped shooting @thechelseacowboy. I met and had the honor of working with the lovely @poppydelevigne, who's so friendly and down to earth. Here we are on set in ou '70s rock n' roll 'fits."
Lovi added, "We can't wait to see the final output but in the meantime, you can check some BTS photos and [an] interview and what it took for me to get to London and do this film."
The actress shared she had to fly to two different continents during the pandemic and said, "But it's definitely all worth it. I'd do it all over again."
It was first confirmed in August that Lovi will be starring in The Chelsea Cowboy. Since filming started in October, Lovi has been sharing some behind-the-scenes photos on her Insta feed:
According to the actress, she got the role when one of the producers and the writer of the film reached out to Lovi's management and asked her to read for the part. "It was as simple as that," Lovi said. "I read for the part, forgot about it, and then a few weeks after, it happened! I'm just so happy. I just feel so blessed and I'm really looking forward to that."
