Maine Mendoza issued an apology for allegedly being insensitive towards a contestant during the segment "All for Juan, Juan for All" on Eat Bulaga. Netizens were quick to call out the 23-year-old host and comedienne for seemingly mocking the grieving contestant whose child recently passed away.

An online observer called out Maine and the other hosts of the segment for their insensitive reaction to the woman. Twitter user @sevillathom1 said, "I find this part so insensitive knowing that the sugod bahay winner's son/daughter (not sure) just recently died and they still continue this sick joke of replicating her emotions on what she felt during that moment. You guys are so inconsiderate. @mainedcm @AngPoetNyo #JoseManalo"

Another fan addressed Maine and said, "Bakit ganoon idol? Ginawa mong  biro yung pinagdadaanan in ate?" Maine responded to the backlash via Twitter, "Nakikiramay po kami kay ate. Hindi po namin alam n'ung una na gan'un pala ang pinagdadaanan niya bilang hindi po namin naintindihan yung una niyang sinabi."

As of press time, Maine, her management, and fellow hosts have yet to issue an official statement about the issue.
