Maja Salvador And Rambo Nuñez Explain Why They'll Never Show Their Daughter's Face To The Public

Despite everyone's curiosity about their daughter's face, the celebrity couple is firm in their decision not to reveal it. The reason? They're giving their daughter, Baby Maria, a choice. 

The actress noted the importance of giving their daughter the freedom to choose how she wants to be known, and not just because she is a daughter to a celebrity. "Kasi parang gusto kong ibigay sa kanya 'yung freedom talaga lung papaano niya gustong makilala ng tao," Maja told PEP.ph in an interview on May 23, 2025.

Maja and Rambo acknowledge the fact that the busy and bustling celebrity life might not be the life that their daughter would want for her future. "Gusto ba niya? 'Yung ganun. But then, paglaki niya, ayaw pala niya. Alam niyo 'yun? Ayaw niya sa mundo namin, 'yung gusto niya tahimik lang buhay niya," Maja noted.

Maja's been firm about it—especially when it comes to brand collaborations. She revealed that some brands have tried to negotiate to get their whole family involved as endorsers, but she always respectfully declines. "Even may mga brands na gusto… kahit name your price, sabi ko, hindi talaga," she said.

He added, "I mean, it's not like na hindi namin na-appreciate 'yun, but siyempre wala pang malay, 'di ba? Na, parang naglalaro, tapos baka istorbohin because kilalang-kilala na siya, mga ganun."

After all, this is what they think is best for their daughter. "'Yung mga ganung instances na, feeling namin, it's important dun sa development 'nung bata na ma-realize niya 'yung may freedom siya, di ba? Kumbaga, ma-discover niya kung sino siya individually, not because anak siya ni Maja."
