Maymay Entrata's star is shining and she's ready to take on Europe! The singer-actress recently received a nomination for the "Best Asia Act" category at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA).
Other acts nominated in the category include NIKI (Indonesia), SILVY (Thailand), The Rampage From Exile Tribe (Japan), and Tomorrow x Together (Korea). Voting officially opened on October 12, 2022.
The "Amakabogera" singer took to Instagram to express her thanks to MTV EMA and her fans for showing her some love. Maymay wrote, "A huge thank you po to @mtvema for recognizing my song and giving me the privilege to be with other amazing artists nominated in this category!"
Addressing her fans, Maymay added, "At sa mga mahal kong kabogeras, 'di tayo aabot dito kundi dahil po sa inyo, maraming salamat po."
Maymay also thanked her music label Star Pop PH for their support as she also asked her followers to vote for her.
Maymay's single, "Amakabogera" was released in October 2021 and the song recently won an award the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Music. Maymay also performed the song at the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 coronation night during the competition's swimsuit portion. Maymay said, "Ang maging parte po ng industriya ng showbiz ay isang malaking biyaya sa probinsyanang katulad kong nangagarap lang maging artista."
