Miss Germany Is Sad Pia Wurtzbach Never Had Her 'Real Crowning Moment'

That's what she said on Facebook.

The Miss Universe Germany organization issued an apology on behalf of Miss Germany Sarah-Lorraine Riek, whose post-pageant interview went viral. In the video clip posted by Missosology, a Facebook page devoted to covering international beauty pageants, Sarah expressed her displeasure for Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach’s win over Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez

Footage of the interview shows Miss Germany saying, “I was very happy for Colombia, actually. She really deserves it. But I’m really not happy with the result and so do the other girls. I’m sorry to say that…No one of us voted for the Philippines. I’m sorry to say that…I wish Pia the best of luck with her year but I’m really not happy with the result.”

But in her Facebook apology, Miss Germany says she feels deeply sorry for her friend Miss Colombia for having gone through the “nightmare” of being mistakenly awarded the crown by host Steve Harvey. Sarah-Lorraine said that it is “not the final result moment you would wish for anyone,” adding that she’s sorry because Pia “never had her real crowning moment.”
