Dayanara Torres finally landed in the Philippines yesterday! Dayanara, who was crowned as Miss Universe 1993, is set to be one of the six judges for the 65th Miss Universe competition.

Here she is arriving at the NAIA Terminal 1 yesterday afternoon:

The Puerto Rican beauty queen first set foot in the Philippines in 1994—as the outgoing Miss Universe—when the country was hosting the pageant.

ICYDK (or were too young to remember), Dayanara was one of the biggest stars of the '90s. After the Miss U festivities were over, Dayanara stayed in the PH and entered showbiz.

As you can see from her IG account, her love affair with the Philippines is far from over with all of her posts about her stay in her second home.

Dayanara remains close friends with Gary Valenciano, whom she co-hosted with in ASAP and starred with in the 1994 movie Hataw Na.

Dayanara left the Philippines and flew back to Puerto Rico in 1999 after breaking up with her then-boyfriend Aga Muhlach. The two reportedly fell in love when they were paired in the 1995 film Basta’t Kasama Kita. [via PEP.ph]

She then went on to marry Puerto Rican-American singer Marc Anthony in 2000 but divorced in 2004. Dayanara, who currently resides in Los Angeles, shares two sons with her former husband: Christian and Ryan who are both in their teens. [via People and US Magazine]
