Nadine Samonte shared an unfortunate incident that happened early on during her third pregnancy.
On July 5, Monday, Nadine took to Instagram to reveal that she and her non-showbiz husband Richard Chua almost lost her baby during the first trimester, due to complications. Featured in the post was a photo of her bruised belly, with a vial and a syringe placed on top of it.
"Every day is a struggle, but it's more of a blessing. Feeling my tummy grow every day is what I'm thankful for. Thank you, Lord, for our third baby. Yes, I still have PCOS and mostly APAS. This journey is particularly different from my two kids. We almost lost our baby during my first trimester, but with God's grace and guidance, hindi Niya kami pinabayaan. God is good."
Nadine went on in her post by mentioning names of medicines, probably what she is currently taking to manage the effects of her conditions. Despite being overwhelmed, Nadine shared her determination to stay strong for her baby.
"And more to come. Not complaining, but hey, I can say I'm one strong momma here fighting for my babies. Ang dami kong iniyak sa journey na 'to, hehe. Pero I won't give up EVER! I'll fight and stay strong for them!!! Go APAS and PCOS mommas out there. Kaya natin 'to. Hello to our rainbow baby soon. Our last."
In June 2021, Nadine announced that she and Richard were expecting their third child together and that she was already in her second trimester.
ICYDK, PCOS, or polycystic ovarian syndrome, is one of the most common hormone disorders among women. An estimated one out of every five women is affected by it. The symptoms are varied and there is no single test that can diagnose PCOS. Thankfully, diet changes and medication can help manage the symptoms.
