One Direction's First Show Without Zayn Was So Freaking Emotional

Fans were stunned by what Liam, Louis, Niall, and Harry did.

Ever since Zayn Malik dropped out of One Direction's world tour, fans have been wondering how the group would handle the rest of the shows on the On The Road Again Tour. But all those questions were answered in a big way on Saturday night, when the group performed without one of its members.

MTV reports that during the Philippine concert, the group simply introduced themselves individually as Liam, Louis, Niall, and Harry and not as "One Direction." Because, presumably, they don't consider themselves a complete band without their longtime friend. (MTV notes the band did this once before during a Today show appearance Zayn missed.)

Fans were stunned by the move, and unleashed a wave of feelings all over Twitter in reaction to the moment:

Band members also took turns filling in for Zayn on parts of their songs he is normally featured in. Here's Harry, playfully sticking his tongue out during "Little Things" like "yeah, I got this; thanks."

The group also left a space for Zayn on stage, basically killing everyone's feelings forever.

Fans also offered their own tribute to Zayn, who is reportedly taking a break from touring due to stress. Fans held up masks with his likeness as well as photographs of the singer.

If your heart isn't a total puddle right now, then you might be an actual robot. Head to a doctor's office soon.
