Ready your hearts: Mackenyu Arata, the breakout star of Netflix's One Piece live-action adaptation, is coming to the Philippines soon!

The good news was announced by Manila Pop Culture Convention (ManiPopCon) in a press conference, sharing that the actor is looking forward to meeting his Pinoy fans. "To all my Filipino fans out there, I'm happy to share that I'll be appearing at the ManiPopCon in Manila from November 17th to the 19th. See you guys there," Mackenyu said.

Manila Pop Culture Convention will be held at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.

The actor recently caught the internet’s attention for portraying the green-haired swordsman Roronoa Zoro. In an interview with ABS-CBN News, ManiPopCon founder Marco Aventajado narrated how they approached the actor.

"One of our team members, Andy, brought up this actor, Mackenyu, who was coming out in a Netflix adaption of an anime. And this was mga May or June. And we're like okay, let's see. We inquired with their management and we took it from there. It was a gamble and it looks like it's going to pay off. Because he's a really great guy, and a lot of fans are excited ngayon pa lang that he's coming. Actually, my kids are excited," he said.
