If QUADLIPS isn't already on your radar, then take this as your sign to catch up. This fierce four-member girl group—comprising Feni, Fame, Cole, and Hina—has been making waves in Asia. With roots spanning multiple cultures and a sound that defies borders, QUADLIPS is all about making music that speaks to everyone. And they're not showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon.

In a quick chat with Cosmopolitan Philippines, the girls let us in on their charming and vibrant dynamics, both as individuals and as a group, despite coming from different countries. ICYDK, the group was created as a sub-unit of the global group, AKB48: Feni from Indonesia's JKT48, Fame from Thailand's BNK48, Cole from the Philippines' MNL48, and Hina from Japan's SKE48.

"We're coming from different backgrounds, different cultures, different countries, and have different stories. I feel like it adds flavor to the group because it's not something that usually happens in a girl group. We created this group to unite everyone with music," Cole declared, talking about the group dynamics.

Being a cross-cultural girl group is definitely one of their strengths in the industry. For one, they could connect to a wider audience with the multiple languages they speak. But aside from that, QUADLIPS was proud to tell Cosmo that they each have a specific set of sports that they specialize in as part of their idol personality.

Basically, one of the main concepts of QUADLIPS  is the girls conquering extreme sports. Cole and Hina are all about basketball—hello, power duo! Fame mixes grace and agility with her love for both badminton and ice skating, while Feni brings the edge with her skateboarding skills. Who says pop stars can't be athletes too?

With their talent and undeniable charm, the girls of QUADLIPS could've gone in any direction. As Hina shared, she could've explored the beauty industry, while Fame considered becoming a teacher. The what-ifs are fun to imagine, but one thing's clear: they're exactly where they want to be—and they're loving every minute of it.

"I like to perform in front of people. I can give a lot of positive energy to other people and give them a reason to live. Yeah, I'm happy about that and I love it," Feni affirmed during our interview.

QUADLIPS on their craft as a global group

The group recently released two songs, "Wings Grow Back" and "IDGA", which present different genres and messaging. As QUADLIPS described it, "Wings Grow Back" is all about improving oneself. "It's like she's proving people wrong too," Feni noted. True enough, its music video portrays strong alpha females seemingly breaking expectations about them.

It's something that QUADLIPS naturally connects to. The same goes for their most recent song, "IDGA." It's all about the girls enjoying the life that they have—and again, it shows in the music video where it's just QUADLIPS going on a trip and visiting so many spots together. (The cutest, btw!)

Feni further explained, "So we want to put that image through our song. It's not just about being a strong woman, but it's also about giving motivation to other people. We're strong inside and outside."
There's so much more coming from QUADLIPS. There are more songs and dance steps to work on for them. And by the way, they're totally hands-on when it comes to crafting those killer moves!

The girls showed so much excitement for what's next, and also expressed their love for their fans. Although they haven't chosen a fandom name just yet, their message to the fans was loud and clear: "We cannot be here if you guys didn't support us. All your love, all your messages, and cheers mean the world to us. And you guys keep us going, especially during the hardest days. You inspire us to keep growing."
