Robi Domingo is staying true to his words. He has taken steps to address the alleged threat posed by an online commenter. Moreover, he revealed that he had talked with Belle Mariano right after the incident.

On February 22, Robi sparked discussions across fandoms as he replied to a comment seemingly threatening him if he ever paired Donny Pangilinan and Kathryn Bernardo together. The comment indicated that "solid supporters of Belle Mariano" are prepared to bash him from head to toe if he would "tolerate" the mentioned pairing.

In a report by MJ Felipe published on February 27, Robi disclosed that Belle messaged him after the incident. "Nag-message sa akin si Belle, saying na, 'Hi Kuya I hope you are okay!' She was so nice for telling me na rest assured my true fans will not harm you in any way, hindi sila ganoon, they love you and respect you a lot.' And I told her the whole story. We're good, we're okay," he told ABS-CBN News.

Over on Instagram, the TV host posted about "accountability," and shared the details of his visit to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) today, February 27. He met with NBI officials, namely Chief Jerome Bomediano, who talked to him about the steps he can take against a threat.

First, Robi shared that anyone can file a complaint for free via NBI or any government office. "You can file a complaint, especially if your safety is at risk. It's free to file," he wrote on his post.

Additionally, Robi says it's essential to take screenshots of the comments as it can be traced down—regardless if it's deleted. "Always take screenshots of your complaint and the URL. Even if it’s deleted, the digital trace is still there. (If someone deletes it, it could show intent.)" he said.

He furthered, "Whether it's a troll or not, there's a real person behind the screen, and they are still responsible for their actions. Remember, every action has consequences, whether online or offline. Let's be kind and take responsibility."

He has taken the step to visit NBI despite his busy schedule to "safeguard himself" as he told ABS-CBN News. "Hopefully, everyone especially in the age of social media, everyone please do your part. And please be responsible. I am just safeguarding myself, especially with what's gonna happen in the future," he declared.

What happened to Robi Domingo and Belle Mariano?

Okay, in case you missed it, the reason why Robi is addressing this concern over online trolls was because of a comment sent to him on February 22. It was announced that Robi will be hosting a new season of the reality talent show, Pilipinas Got Talent, where Kath and Donny are among the judges.

In a now-deleted comment, the IG user said, "@iamrobidomingo ay subukan mo lang na i-match si @donny at @bernardokath ready ready ang solid supporters ni Belle Mariano na ibash ka mula ulo mo hanggang paa. WAG MO ITOLERATE yung KA LANDIAN ng peste mong kaibigan." In other words, the commenter was putting out a warning for Robi not to pair Donny and Kathryn together—or else he'd be in for some serious bashing.

Robi was not having it and wrote back to the commenter, which also served as a warning to rude commenters. "Can I consider this as a threat? Can I take legal actions against this? I don't tolerate this behavior," he firmly said.
