SB19's Ken has officially kicked off his career as a solo artist with the release of his debut single "Palayo" on September 18.
Ken, whose real name is Felip Jhon Suson, released the track under his first name, FELIP. The smooth R&B song features lyrics in Filipino, Visayan, and English, and talks about a person who has decided to walk away from a relationship.
Prior to the release of the single, SB19 released teaser photos of Ken as well as a mood video to highlight the upcoming release of his solo track.
A week before the song's release, Ken wrote on Twitter, "Naiintindhan ko lahat ng concerns n'yo. I know naman na para sa ikabubuti ko lahat [ng] opinion n'yo, and I wanna thank you all for that."
The singer humbly added, "Bago lang 'to, so obviously, wala talaga akong reach. Kayo lang talaga makakapanuod nito…"
Ken is the first SB19 member to release a solo track. Composed of Ken, Pablo, Josh, Justin, and Stell, the P-pop group released their latest EP Pagsibol in July.
