    1. 20-year-old Chinese actress Shen Yue was announced as the female lead of the Meteor Garden remake airing in 2018. The young star is taking on the role of Shan Cai which was made famous by Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu in 2001. The new F4 members, Darren Cheng, Dylan Wang, Connor Leong, and Caesar Wu, were also announced this week. (ABS-CBN)





    2. The late actress Isabel Granada, who previously served in the Philippine Air Force, was given military honors as her body arrived in Manila from Doha yesterday afternoon. Isabel, 41, suffered from an aneurysm and passed away on November 4 in Doha, Qatar. (ABS-CBN)


    3. The hit Korean drama Boys Over Flowers (which starred Lee Min Ho) will be getting a Filipino remake co-produced by GMA-7. The network announced that they will be conducting a nationwide search to find the actors: "In order for us to find the actors who will portray the coveted characters in the series, we will have a nationwide open casting call that will give equal chance to talented individuals who want to be part of this highly anticipated project."     4. A second woman, former actress Aurelie Wynn, has accused Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick of rape in 2014. Writing in a Facebook post, she revealed that she and a female friend were invited to Ed's apartment where the assault took place: "I said no and he pushed me face down and was powerless under his weight. I was wearing a one-piece bathing suit that he ripped, I was in complete shock, I am also very tiny. When it was over I got my cellphone and found that the girl that had invited me had left or got kicked out."

      The British actor, however, denied these claims and sent out an official statement via Twitter. (Just Jared)
