Sitti Navarro announced on Instagram that she gave birth to her second child with her husband Joey Ramirez.
On September 24, the singer shared precious photos of the newborn and announced, "She's here. Osseah Lucille Ramirez." According to Sitti, Osseah was born on September 23 and weighed 5 pounds and 8 ounces. She added, "Perfectly healthy! With an APGAR score of 9.9. Thank you, Jesus."
To the unfamiliar, an APGAR score is used by doctors to evaluate the health of newborns soon after birth. The test also checks the overall health of a baby to see if extra medical care is needed and is given once at one minute after birth and again at five minutes after birth.
Sitti also detailed Osseah's birth story and it's quite the journey. The singer said that she has APAS or Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome, an autoimmune disorder that happens when the body's immune system makes abnormal antibodies that attack and damage tissues or cells.
Apart from having APAS, Sitti said that she also faced a cancer scare, underwent open surgery while pregnant during the pandemic, and eventually, delivered Osseah via emergency caesarian section. Following her operation, she found out that the baby pooped in her womb but said she was thankful that the baby did not ingest any of it.
She added, "Thank You, Father God. There is truly only one thing to say and that is to thank You. Our journey has not been the easiest but You have guided and delivered us every step of the way. You have shown us Your faithfulness and protection, You have tested our faith and made it stronger. You have shown us kindness and mercy, and given us the strength to pull through. And now we have another cute little healthy baby girl!"
In April, Sitti announced that she was expecting and called baby number two "a miracle." Recently, the Bossa Nova songstress revealed her baby's gender and thought that she and her husband were expecting a boy. She said, "Almost everyone in our household thought it'll be a baby boy this time. Wala akong kagana-gana mag-ayos. Hapon na ako bumabangon para maligo. Everything about my body was so much bigger this pregnancy, as in everything!"
Congratulations, Joey and Sitti!
