Taylor Swift’s newest single “ME!” just smashed two YouTube records. The 29-year-old singer is now the female and solo artist with the biggest 24-hour debut on YouTube.
Taylor dropped “ME!” two days ago, on April 26. The video, featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! At the Disco, was viewed 65.2 million times on the first day alone.
After YouTube made the announcement on Twitter earlier today, Taylor tweeted, “GUYS!! YOU DID THIS!!!! CANNOT STOP SMILING. And I’m not trying to be loud but 65.2 million views... ?? and 6+5+2=.............”
Thirteen is Taylor’s lucky number. Taylor shared in 2009, “I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first number 1 song had a 13-second intro. Every time I’ve won an award I've been seated on either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter. Basically, whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing.”
