The First Close-Up Photos Of Prince Louis Have Just Been Released

They were taken by Kate Middleton herself!

The Kensington Palace, the official residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has just released cute photos of the newborn Prince Louis on their Instagram account. The photos were taken by Kate Middleton herself.

The first photo shows Princess Charlotte, 3, kissing her little brother. It was captioned, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share two photographs of Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, taken by the Duchess at Kensington Palace. This image was taken on 2nd May, on Princess Charlotte's third birthday. The Duke and Duchess would like to thank members of the public for their kind messages following the birth of Prince Louis, and for Princess Charlotte's third birthday." 

The second photo finds Prince Louis looking away from the camera. It was taken on April 26 at the Kensington Palace. 

Prince Louis was born on April 23, at 11:01 a.m., at the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London. He weighed eight pounds and seven ounces. 

His full name is Louis Arthur Charles, and his title is "His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge."
