Fans are speculating that Bea Alonzo is the newest star to join the Kapuso network.
On June 30, GMA Network released a black-and-white teaser image of a yet-to-be-named actress who is set to join the TV network.
The teaser's copy reads: "One of the biggest artists in Philippine showbiz will be a Kapuso." The image put emphasis on the words "be a" which fans are speculating could be none other than Bea.
Meanwhile, on Instagram Stories, Bea shared a similar image that bears a resemblance to the teaser released by GMA, further fueling fan speculations that it is Bea who is moving to the Kapuso network.
GMA Network is set to reveal who the actress is on July 1 at 4:00 p.m. through GMA Network's Facebook page.
Early in June, Bea's former onscreen partner John Lloyd Cruz made his first TV appearance on GMA for an e-commerce platform after taking a break from showbiz. The actor then had a meeting with GMA Executive Anette Gozon-Valdez who said, "Let's see. Siyempre, after so long na ABS siya and Kapamilya siya, now he's going to appear on GMA, I think he's also taking things slow."
If it's true that Bea is joining GMA, it would be such a treat for fans of the love team to see another Bea and John Lloyd onscreen tandem on the Kapuso network. The duo last appeared together in the 2015 movie A Second Chance, which is a sequel of their hit film One More Chance that cemented the iconic status of the JLC and Bea love team.
