Everything We Know About Taylor Swift's New Album 'The Life of a Showgirl'—Including Its Release Date

Our collective era of clowning is over! After months of speculation, Taylor Swift has finally announced TS12, and there's a lot to go over when it comes to the release date, theme, production, and general vibe. Buckle up.

Taylor revealed the name of the album on New Heights, telling Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce that her upcoming album is officially called The Life of a Showgirl.

That reminds be seen, but we know the vibe is ORANGE. From Taylor's lipstick, to the background on her website countdown, to the literal color of the Empire State Building on August 12, it's clear that Tay's in her orange era.

The meaning is still unclear, but thanks to the combination of green in the album's "locked" image in Tay's Instagram profile pic (see above), people are making comparisons to oxidization and the Statue of Liberty. Might be a reach, or might be something to it–you decide!

Nothing has been confirmed by Taylor, but potentially, yes. At least that's what fans are speculating based on the fact that the New Heights set during Tay's announcement was decorated with at least three T.S. signs in orange, red, and white.

Taylor dropped a Spotify playlist called "and, baby, that's show business for you," which features songs produced by Max Martin and Shellback. People have leaned into that and are speculating that the duo produced The Life of a Showgirl.

Again, nothing has been confirmed, but fans think Sabrina Carpenter is collaborating with Taylor due to her website featuring the date "August 12, 2025" last night—right when the internet was reaching peak meltdown over Tay's upcoming announcement.

TBD on an exact date, but Taylor's website says orders will be shipped by October 13, 2025. So presumably the album will come out before that!

The cover is currently locked (literally there's a lock over a blurry image) but we know the vinyl itself is the era's signature color: orange.
