On the night of January 4, 2019, actor Tony Labrusca posted an apology on Twitter for “taking his frustrations out” on an immigration officer at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Tony begins the statement with, “I want to extend my sincerest apology to the superior immigration officer (I.O.) who was on duty and [whom] I had a talk with yesterday morning, 03 Jan 2019.”
The Glorious actor admits, “I was a bit frustrated and that I asked why I was only given 30 days to stay in the country this time,” explaining “I was unaware of the policy that because I was not with my mother, I did not qualify for a balikbayan stamp.”
While he clarifies he didn't “call anyone stupid” or “brag about being a celebrity,” nevertheless, Tony is “deeply sorry” for how he behaved. “I know for a fact that the officer is merely doing her job.”
