Joining the ranks of blockbuster babes and endorsement faves, like Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo, and Nadine Lustre, is Coleen Garcia. After years with Star Magic, Coleen made the switch yesterday and just signed with Viva Artists Agency.
Coleen naturally paid her respects to her former talent management group, profusely thanking Star Magic for taking care of her all these years. She then expressed her excitement to work with Viva and its big bosses, Vic del Rosario and Veronique del Rosario-Corpus, among others.
In interviews during her big reveal as Viva’s newest artist, Coleen let us in on her own revelation: how to know if you’re ready to get married even if you’re just in your 20s. Coleen shared: “I felt na siya na ’yung gusto ko makasama. We wanted to be together; we wanted to live together. And by getting married, I felt I was doing things right by him and by God.”
Coleen delved even deeper into the reality of serious relationships: “Kasi kung ipatagal n’yo and ’yung mga problema lumalalim, parang nagiging problemang pang-asawa tapos hindi naman kayo mag-asawa. So, ang dali-dali to just get up and leave. And, we were ready for that commitment—to really commit to each other.” Coming from a broken family with parents who separated when she was little, Coleen also admits that her past nudged her to consider the idea of “forever” at a young age: “It’s one of my dreams in life to have a family.... [I want to] have a second chance at that.”
It makes a whole lot of sense when Coleen put it this way. She and singer-host Billy Crawford got married in a dreamy island ceremony last April 20, 1028 in Balesin. The couple has a 10-year age gap (Coleen was 25 during their wedding), but that didn’t stop them from tying the knot and making their relationship happy-ever-after official.
So, what’s in store for Coleen? When it comes to her career, Viva has hit the ground running since adding Coleen to their roster. In fact, she has an upcoming film in the works and is super excited about the things to come. We’re extremely thrilled for her, too! It seems that 2019 is the year when things come full circle for Coleen. From endorsements to ambassadorships, from shows and movies to positive shifts in her marriage—this girl’s trajectory is only upward and onward on all fronts.
